Ukraine Flag   Ukraine Relief: Efforts at LCUC are combined with those at First Presbyterian Odeboldt (Iowa) to offer assistance and support to refugees

fleeing to neighboring countires.

METHODIST: Methodist program offers assistance: "This fund will provide direct assistance to those in Ukraine as well as assistance to Ukrainians fleeing to neighboring countries.  https://umcmission.org/umcor/ukraine/ 

PRESBYTERIAN: Through PC(USA) funds go into Presbytery Disaster Assistance to assist refuges. "PDA, therefore, anticipates that our response will include both financial and technical assistance as the network of faith communities providing humanitarian assistance grows in the months ahead."

Raise awareness of camp activities, promate attendance, encourage participation in special work days held.  

 


One Great Hour Of Sharing 

The three programs supported by One Great Hour of Sharing - Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the Presbyterian Hunger Program, and Self-Development of People - all work in different ways to serve individuals and communities in need. From initial disaster response to ongoing community development, their work fits together to provide people with safety, sustenance, and hope.

Gift of Hope 

Gift of Hope is a tangible way to provide basic needs, education, and more to people around the world who need it most.

FOODBANK of Iowa 

Provide food for Iowa children, families, and seniors to lead full and active lives, strengthening the communities where they live.

Heifer International 

Heifer International  works with countries around the world alongside local farmers and business owners. They support farmers and their communities as they mobilize and envision their futures, provide training so they can improve the quantity and quality of the goods they produce, and connections to market to increase sales and incomes.

Camperships  

 Camperships include congregation offering $ to help pay for youth to attend Christian camp.  Two denominational camps promoted -

Local Offerings 

Our church has a hat & mitten tree .  The hats and mittens are picked up by a local committee that distributes them . Other offerings are shared as need becomes known.
